Roll-up security grilles are made from extruded aluminum profiles with a cover height of 80 mm, produced by ALUPROF. The grille rolls up into a cassette made of rolled aluminum sheet, usually installed in the lintel above the opening. Depending on the design, the grille can feature a floating shaft, which reduces motor load and prolongs the life of the slats. Guide rails are made of extruded aluminum, and the bottom slat is equipped with a sealing rubber.
Standard Operation: Roll-up grilles come with a tubular motor. Optional upgrades include a motor with gearbox (NHK), allowing the grille to be opened manually in case of power failure, and manual crank operation. For added convenience, external key switches or remote control can be installed.
SAFETY
Roll-up grilles provide a high level of security. Standard safety features include:
- Anti-lift protection (electromagnetic brake)
- Safety system preventing entrapment (contact safety sensor in the bottom rail or photocells)
- Electronic locking to prevent unintentional unrolling
- Emergency manual opening system
FUNCTIONALITY
Roll-up grilles are a versatile solution suitable for both new constructions and existing buildings. Their main purpose is building security, while also offering:
- Display window exposure
- Ventilation protection in shopping galleries and underground garages
- Glazing options in grille profiles, providing additional protection against wind and weather
DRIVE AND OPERATION
The grille is raised and lowered via an electric motor. Operation is controlled by a switch located inside or outside the building. Selected combinations of control devices provide high operational comfort. Depending on the requirements, remote control or key-operated control from outside can be implemented.
GRILLE CONSTRUCTION
The grille rolls onto an aluminum roller tube mounted in a cassette or on consoles with bearings. Consoles are mounted directly into the wall or other structural parts of the building. For ceilings-mounted grilles, the minimum ceiling height must be considered, as the roller diameter depends on the grille height or the size of the cassette.
