External Venetian Blinds – S-90

Independent demand

S-90 External Venetian Blinds with guidance in guide rails allow smooth regulation of light intensity inside the interior while simultaneously shading up to 85% of solar radiation, effectively preventing interior overheating. The S-shaped slat with a width of 90 mm and an integrated rolled-in sealing strip ensures quiet operation of the blind and also provides an excellent blackout effect. This is the most robust type of external venetian blind.

Advantages of the S-90 External Venetian Blind

  • lockable blind with a high level of shading performance
  • elegant shape similar to external roller shutters and roller doors
  • quiet operation
  • high slat strength and resistance to wind damage
  • 19 slat colour shades available from stock

The S-90 external venetian blind combines the advantages of the Z-90 and C-80 external blinds. The new S-90 blind allows flexible shading of the interior and, when the slats are fully closed, provides a blackout effect comparable to the Z-90 system. The sealing strip rolled into the slat edge significantly reduces noise during strong winds. The new rounded design complements the C-80 slat shape, which is highly popular among architects due to its elegant appearance and at the same time significantly improves interior protection.

The new S-shaped slat design visually harmonises with external roller shutters even when fully closed. This feature is especially appreciated by customers who choose to combine external venetian blinds with external roller shutters or roller doors on the same building. Thanks to the visual similarity between roller shutters and the S-90 external blind, a uniform and consistent appearance of the building can be achieved.

The blind can be operated manually by crank handle or by electric motor. Higher comfort can be achieved by connecting the system to automatic controls responding to sunlight and wind conditions. Quiet operation is further enhanced by sealing elements in the guide profiles. The guide profiles and bottom rail are available in anodised finish or in any RAL colour. The top profile is made of galvanised steel sheet or aluminium. To cover the top profile and the retracted slat bundle, an aluminium cover panel can be used, available in any RAL colour or anodised finish. Special installation boxes are also supplied for concealed (flush-mounted) installations.

We offer 19 slat colours available from stock, and upon individual request, any custom slat colour (more cost-effective for areas over 70 m²).

External venetian blinds with guide rails offer higher resistance to strong winds and lower noise levels compared to blinds guided by steel cables.

Basic technical parameters:

Maximum blind width: 400 cm
Maximum blind height: 400 cm
Maximum width of coupled blinds: 8 linear metres (motor-operated)

Blind type Minimum blind width Maximum blind area
S-90 manual operation (crank) 40 cm 9 m2
S-90 motorised operation 60 cm (55) 14 m2

External venetian blinds are the most widely used exterior shading solution. They allow smooth regulation of natural daylight, block direct sunlight and protect the interior from its harmful effects.

By installing the blinds on the exterior of the building, the thermal comfort of the interior can be influenced most effectively. The blinds can be operated by a crank handle, cord, or electric drive (230V / 50Hz). The motorised version offers the advantage of integration into a central electronic control system.

Unless otherwise prepared at the construction stage, the blinds are usually fitted with cover panels that visually conceal the retracted blind package. They are commonly used to shade windows in modern family houses and are also an ideal solution for shading strip windows in administrative buildings and commercial properties.
